There are no public schools located on Dyess Air Force Base. Students who live on base will attend the Abilene Independent School District. The school district has 18 elementary schools, six middle schools and two high schools. Children living on base will attend Dyess Elementary, Clack Middle School and Cooper Higher School. The school district provides bus transportation to children who live more than a mile from their assigned school. Many private schools are also available at Dyess Air Force Base.
